Since its incorporation in 1948 Eastview Co-Operative Apartments has provided comfortable, safe, affordable housing  for working people near or at retirement.  The fact that many residents stay 25-30 years (the record being 57) is testimony to the success of Eastview’s model of administrative and fiscal self-sufficiency and community inclusion.

 

Eastview’s practical tradition includes vigilant attention to the ongoing  care and upkeep of the building as is evidenced by such major projects as the installation a new roof (2003), a natural gas furnace (2007), an asphalt driveway (2015), new garage roof and garage wall repairs (2016).

 

Eastview also prides itself on a long history of respectful and voluntary mutual social support among its members. This on-going attention to our social capital makes the residents of Eastview not just accidental neighbours - renters of units in commercial property – but members of a cohesive community.
